Human Rights Policy
Bluebird Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Bluebird") promises that promoting a work environment with respecting human rights creates inclusion and dignity.
We also align our actions with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) code of conduct, treating all persons with dignity and respect.
This policy applies to all employees working in offices and factory areas within Bluebird, including full-time employees, part-time employees, interns, contract personnel, and extends to suppliers and partners.
The main contents of the human rights policy are outlined below:
1. The Right to Freely Chosen Employment and Prohibition of Forced Labor
• Employees are free to resign or terminate their employment relationship after prior notice in accordance with laws and labor contracts.
• Any form of forced labor is strictly prohibited, and any suppliers or subcontractors that engage in forced labor are not accepted.
2. Prohibition of Child Labor and Protection of Young Workers
• Prohibition of child labor (under the age of 15, or under the age for completing compulsory education) is strictly enforced.
Any suppliers or subcontractors that use child labor are not accepted. If child labor is identified, immediate assistance and remediation will be provided.
• To ensure the physical and mental safety and health of young workers (under 18 years old), the company maintains a protective mechanism to prevent them from performing work that is likely to jeopardize their health or safety.
3. Compliance with Working Hours and Wages
• Working Hours: Bluebird strictly complies with local applicable working hours and laws.
Workers shall be allowed at least one day off every seven days.
Working hours per week shall not exceed the maximum limit set by local labor laws, except in emergency or unusual situations.
• Voluntary Overtime: All overtime work must be voluntary.
• Wages and Benefits: Compensation paid shall comply with applicable wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours, and legally mandated benefits.
• No Unlawful Deductions: Deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure shall not be permitted unless they are within the scope and limits expressly authorized by applicable laws.
4. Elimination of Discrimination and Inhumane Treatment
• We prohibit any discrimination and any behavior that incites discrimination in hiring and employment practices.
• We respect the basic human rights of employees and prohibit any form of degrading behavior, including any form of sexual harassment, sexual abuse, physical punishment, mental or physical oppression, or verbal abuse (workplace harassment), as well as intimidating anyone into such behaviors.
Relevant policies and preventive measures shall be effectively communicated to employees.
5. Respect for Privacy and Freedom of Association
• We comply with privacy and information security laws and regulatory requirements when personal information is collected, stored, processed, transmitted, and shared.
• We respect employees' rights to freedom of association, to bargain collectively, and to engage in peaceful assembly in accordance with local laws.
6. Commitment to Responsible Sourcing of Minerals
• We are committed to avoiding the use of "Conflict Minerals" which originate from armed conflicts, illegal mining, and poor working environments in the raw material sourcing and production processes.
7. Independent Grievance and Reporting Mechanisms
• We ensure that internal and external stakeholders can provide feedback immediately without fear of retaliation, threats, or harassment.

8. Employee Development and Communication
• We value the continuous growth of our employees and strive to foster an environment that encourages self-development.
We will review and consider implementing relevant training opportunities and support measures as necessary.
• We have established communication mechanisms to inform employees of operational changes that may significantly impact them.
We ensure smooth channels of labor-management communication, allowing employees the right to receive information and express their opinions on the company's management activities and decisions.
9. Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
• We regularly review and assess human rights risks and take effective remedial and mitigation measures.
• We regularly review the company's management systems to ensure that deficiencies identified during internal and external inspections are corrected promptly and effective remedies are proposed.
