Multi-OS support

EF500 supports multiple operating systems, including Android 6.X and Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise.
In addition, Bluebird can assist with customization of the operating system to enhance security, simplify deployment, and reduce support costs.

Durable and scratch resistant

EF500’s compact, lightweight design incorporates Bluebird’s proprietary TankSmith™ technology with a 1.2 meter (4ft.) drop specification and an IP67 rating that protects it from water, dust, and dirt. The 5-inch high definition multi-touch display is made of Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 makes is exceptionally resistant to scratches and deep chips.

Ergonomic, single-handed operation

With a weight of only 260 grams (9.2oz), EF500 is ergonomically designed for comfortable single-handed operation. The multi-touch display can be operated with stylus, fingertips, or gloves even if the display is wet. Sun glare protection improves the display’s readability in direct sunlight, and the anti-fingerprint coating protects from smears.

1D and 2D scanning

The built-in bar code scanner rapidly reads 1D and 2D bar codes and it also has a 13 MP camera for taking pictures and capturing signatures.

Full voice capabilities with push to talk

EF500 comes with full voice capabilities; including noise cancelling, speakerphone, and push to talk that enable more efficient communication among employees, whether it is one-to-one or one-to-many.

Efficient power management

EF500 uses several power saving technologies to ensure it will run for the entire work shift. It also comes with an extended battery version for an even longer battery cycle. It supports battery hot swapping for uninterrupted service.
